Consultation & Supervision

Power of Mind, LLC provides clinical consultation to agencies, organizations, licensed clinicians, and legal professionals working with complex, high-acuity, or system-involved cases.

Consultation is grounded in clinical expertise and applied systems experience in behavioral health settings, with a focus on strengthening service delivery, documentation practices, and clinical decision-making in real-world environments.

We support professionals in translating clinical knowledge into practical, usable workflows, tools, and guidance that improve consistency and quality of care across teams and systems.

Consultation Areas Include:

• Complex trauma and developmental trauma presentations
• Sexual abuse and interpersonal trauma
• Generational and family-system trauma
• Multisystem involvement across behavioral health, school, and community-based care

Consultation Services May Include:

• Clinical case consultation for complex or unclear presentations
• Development of documentation guidance and clinical workflow tools
• Staff training to strengthen clinical reasoning and decision-making

Power of Mind also provides clinical consultation to attorneys and legal professionals involved in child and family-related cases where behavioral health records, treatment history, or clinical functioning are relevant.

This consultation is non-evaluative and does not include custody evaluations or legal determinations.

Areas of focus include:

• Interpretation of behavioral health records and clinical documentation
• Clinical context for child and family functioning in complex or high-conflict family systems
• Understanding treatment history, diagnosis, and patterns of care across multiple providers and systems
• Support in clarifying clinical questions relevant to case preparation and record review

Power of Mind offers EMDRIA-Approved Consultation for clinicians seeking certification, case support, or advanced clinical development in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Consultation is available in both individual and group formats and is appropriate for clinicians at all stages of EMDR training, including those working toward certification or integrating EMDR into ongoing clinical practice.

Consultation focuses on strengthening clinical application, case conceptualization, and fidelity to EMDR principles while supporting real-world clinical decision-making with complex trauma presentations.

We also participate in the EMDRIA Racial Equity Support Initiative (RESI), supporting clinicians in developing culturally responsive, ethically grounded EMDR 

Power of Mind, LLC provides Virginia Board-approved clinical supervision for social workers pursuing LCSW licensure.

Supervision is grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive clinical practice, with an emphasis on developing strong clinical reasoning, ethical decision-making, and confidence working with complex presentations in real-world systems of care.

Our supervision approach draws on extensive experience in clinical leadership, program operations, and multidisciplinary behavioral health systems, including work within community-based, school-based, and high-acuity service environments.
